Nell Alene Medlock, 69 years, passed to heaven on August 20, 2010 at Ozark Riverview Manor, Ozark, MO.
Nell was born January 7, 1941 in Fresno, CA to Ralph and Lorraine (Penley) Grote.
Nell was a resident of the Wasola area for several years moving from her farm at Sweden community near Ava. On May 11, 1969 Nell and Irvan Medlock were united in marriage in Ava, MO. Nell worked on the farm with her husband and enjoyed farm life. She was a Christian and a member of the Missionary Baptist Church at Vera Cruz. Nell enjoyed reading, crocheting, puzzles and video games. Most of all she loved being with her family.
Nell was preceded by her parents and her husband, Irvan Medlock.
Nell is survived by two children, daughter & husband, Wendy & Tim Thompson ,Wasola, MO and son & wife, George & Dianne Bell, Kissee Mills, MO, three grandchildren, George D. Bell, Terry Bell and Keisha Thompson,
six great grandchildren, special family, Pat & Earl Pratt, Springfield, MO and other relatives and friends.
Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Burial of Nell's cremains will be in the Dobbs Cemetery at a later date and time. Memorials may be made to Seasons Hospice, 1831 W. Melville, Springfield, MO 65803.
