Neta Lea Gray

Neta Lea Gray, 79 years old, passed away on February 17, 2013 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO.

Neta was born April 6, 1933 in Ava, MO to Ernest and Jewell (Fowler) Ellison. She graduated from Ava High School.

Neta was a resident of the Seymour community and formerly of Ava, MO where she lived for years. She was retired at Emerson Electric in Ava, MO and had worked there for many years.

In 1951 Neta and Merrill D. Gray were united in marriage and to this union two sons were born.

She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, sewing and visiting with all her family and friends.

Neta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Merrill Gray, one brother, Jim Ellison and one sister, Peggy Routh.

Neta is survived by two sons & their spouses, Tony & Leah Gray, El Dorado, KS and Mike & Donna Gray, Ash Grove, MO, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two sisters, Emogene Jenkins, Seymour, MO and Pat Forest, Phoenix, AZ, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Neta will be Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with Pastor Oren Alcorn officiating. Cremation will follow per Neta's request and burial of her cremains will be at a later date and time. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
