Nona Cope, 90 years, 1 month, 1 day old, passed away on, January 27, 2017 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center, Ava, MO.

Nona was born December 26, 1926 in Douglas County, MO to Thomas and Jennie (Hall) Giffin.

Nona was retired from the Zenith Company in Springfield, MO as an Electrical Engineer.

In December of 1946, Nona and Don Cope were united in marriage and to this union two children Donna and Randy were born.


Nona was a Christian and came to know the Lord. She enjoyed traveling,
Gospel singing, flowers, and gardening. Nona was preceded in death by her parents.

Nona is survived by her children, Donna Cope, Willard, MO, and Randy Cope, Sunrise Beach, MO, three grandchildren, Richard Eric Williams, Lisa Cope-Miesner, and Shanna Dancy, cousins, Olive Roy and Dalene Robertson, both of Ava, MO, and many other relatives and friends.


Graveside services for Nona will be Monday, Jan. 30, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Prairie Hollow Cemetery, Douglas County, MO. Reading and Prayer by Donna Cope and Dalene Robertson. Memorials may be made to Heart of the Hills Food Harvest in Ava.
