Nora Ellen Sales

Nora Ellen Sales, 90 years, 8 months, and 7 days old, passed away on, August 14, 2026, in Seymour, Missouri, with her family by her side.

Nora was born December 7, 1935, in Centerville, Iowa to Spencer and Ocie (Faris) McKeehan.

She was a Christian and a dedicated member of Fordland Church of God Holiness. She served as a Sunday School Teacher and as the church decorator.

She was a very hard and dedicated worker, from the family farm to a career outside the home, with many of those years serving as an insurance agent before retiring. 

On June 6, 1954, Nora Ellen (McKeehan) and Jonverl M. Sales were united in marriage in Moulton, Iowa. They were blessed with five children.

Her greatest joys in life were serving the Lord and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed her flowers. Nora was an accomplished artist. She never missed an opportunity to instigate a prank.

Nora was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, Robert, Earl, Audrey, and Spencer McKeehan; two sisters, Violet Douglas and Marjorie Lepper; granddaughter in law, Kristene Hull and great-granddaughter, Kristosha Hull.

Nora is survived by her children and their spouses, Vicky (Kenneth)Thompson, Juley Voss, Jonverl (Tammy) Sales, Genverl (Susan) Sales, and Tim Sales; sixteen grandchildren, Barton (Julie), Clint, Matt, Stephanie, Joshua (Deana), Amanda (Boston), Scott (Kristy), Britney (Brad), Jonathan (Madison), Ethan (Lianna), Chelsea (Jose), Eli, Timmy (Melissa), Tyler, Brianna, and Haley (Stephen); twenty seven great-grandchildren with two on the way; eleven great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Nora will be Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be Saturday from noon to service time. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Ava, Missouri. Officiating will be Rev. Kenneth Thompson and Rev. Marshal Mosley. Memorials may be made to Fordland Church of God Holiness.
