Norma Jean Shelton, 65 years, 7 months, 25 days old, passed away on July 13, 2017 at her home.
Norma was born November 19, 1951 in Rome, MO in Douglas County to John and Wanda (Goodnight) Ross.
Norma was retired from working at Wal-Mart for several years.
On May 31, 1969 Norma and Larry Shelton were united in marriage at Highway Church of the Nazarene by Rev. John Moles in Ava, MO.
They were blessed with two sons, Gary and Alan.
She was a Christian and attended church when able at the Walnut Grove General Baptist Church. Norma enjoyed collecting bells, watching NASCAR and the St. Louis Cardinals, and most of all she loved being with all her family, especially the grandchildren, and her great granddaughter, Finley.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents.
Norma is survived by her husband, Larry of the home, two sons Gary Shelton and wife, Richelle, Ava, MO, and Alan Shelton, Fair Grove, MO, five grandchildren, Courtney Shelton, Trae Shelton and wife, Kendra, Hunter Shelton, Logan Shelton, and Daytona Shelton, one great granddaughter, Finley Shelton, mother-in-law, Geneva Heinlein, Ava, MO,two sisters, Cheryl Keith and husband, Dale, Mansfield, MO, and Lisa Loftin and husband, Mike, Ava, MO, two brothers, David Ross and Charles Ross both of Ava, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Memorial services for Norma will be Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with Pastor Robert Roberts officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. to memorial time in the funeral home.
