Norris Vincent "Vince" Oxner

Norris Vincent Oxner the son of Norris Newbern Oxner and Theda Dean (Ermer) Oxner was born June 26, 1965 in Helena, Arkansas and departed this life Nov. 24, 2006 at the age of 41 years 4 months and 28 days.

Vince was a resident of Ozark, Missouri since 1995 moving from West Plains, MO. He was employed as a purchasing manager for the trucking industry for several years. On June 22, 2002 Vince and Melanie Dawn Robertson were united in marriage in Ava, MO, and to this union a son was born.

Vince was a member of the Baptist Church and an officer of the Christian Co. Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his family.

Vince is survived by his wife, Melanie, his son, Luke Mcrae Oxner of the home, Ozark, MO, his parents, Norris and Theda Oxner, Mtn. Home, AR, one sister, Victoria Lynne Oxner, Ozark, MO, father and mother-in-law, Rex and Judy Robertson, Thornfield, MO, two sister-in-laws, Kelly Evans and husband, Mark, Sherry Garrison and husband, Mike, one brother-in-law, Kevin Robertson and wife, Sherri, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with the Rev. Robert Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Thornfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 6 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Luke Oxner Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home.
