Odessa Jean Huett

Odessa Jean Huett, 55, of Gainesville, passed away on May 23, 2021 at her residence.  She was born September 5, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri to Dwaine Huett and Barbara (Friend) Huett.

She had five brothers, Harold, Jerry, Ronny, John, and Jeff. Odessa grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and Ocie, Missouri. She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1984. Soon after she joined the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Samuel Gompers for four years. She was discharged in 1988 and studied at Commonwealth College in Virginia Beach, VA for two years where she earned an Associate Degree in Medicine.

In 2002 she gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Jade Hutchison of Gainesville, Missouri. Odessa is survived by her five brothers and her daughter. She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

A memorial Service with full Military honors will be held June 5, 2021, at 1:00 PM at the Brushy Knob General Baptist Church.
