OPAL FROST
Opal Frost, 78, of Theodosia, MO passed away on May 12, 2015 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on February 21, 1937 in Dugginsville, MO, the daughter of Pate and Alma (Beasley) Friend.
Opal graduated from Gainesville High School with the class of 1956. She was united in marriage to Joe Don Frost on December 3, 1956 in Gainesville. Opal's life revolved around her family, cherishing every moment with them. She was the glue that held us together. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart, always putting them first. She loved unconditionally and unselfishly.
Opal worked side by side with her husband, Joe Don, on the family farm. She spent countless hours sitting outside watching their farm animals and children playing. She loved life and continued to fight no matter what she had to endure to continue living. Mom is a true example of loving life!! Opal was a Christian and had accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior.
She was preceded in death by her parents Pate and Alma Friend. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Joe Frost of Theodosia, MO; three children: Teri Frost of Theodosia, Brad Frost of Theodosia, and Lisa Russell and spouse Tom of Hartville, MO; four grandchildren: Jeremy Cockrum and spouse Melissa, Amanda Gilliland, Tyler Russell and Bailee Russell; four great grandchildren: Taylor, Tori, Vincent and Titan; her sister Beulah Satterfield and spouse Merle; niece Karen Livingston and spouse Doug; and nephew Roger Satterfield and spouse Kimberly.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Jimmy Kyle officiating. Burial will be in the Lutie Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday afternoon from 2 p.m. to service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutie Cemetery. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
