Oval Jenkins the daughter of Ora "Pete" Clements and Sarah (Roller) Clements was born May 3, 1910 in Henderson, Missouri and departed this life Sept. 1, 2006 at the age of 96 years 3 months and 28 days.
Oval was a resident of Ava for the past 12 years moving from the Mt. Tabor area. On Nov. 16, 1930 Oval and Ted Jenkins were united in marriage in Hartville, Missouri. Oval was a Christian and she enjoyed quilting and traveling and cooking for family.
Oval was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, three sisters, her husband, and three children, Verlin Jenkins, Teddy Jenkins and an infant daughter. She is survived by a daughter, Lula Mae Bloomer, Ava, MO, daughter-in-law, Betty Jenkins, Ava, MO, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, thirty one great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, Sept. 4, 2006 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with the Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 6 to 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
