Ovie E. Nail, Jr., 67 years, passed to heaven on April 27, 2010 at his home with his family by his side.
Ovie was born March 27, 1943 in Tescott, KS to Ovie and Alice (Brumbaugh) Nail, Sr.
Ovie was a resident of Mansfield, MO since 1995 moving from Salina, KS. He was a retired Carpenter. On August 18, 1985 Ovie and Betty Jean Nail were united in marriage in Harrisonville, MO. Ovie was a Christian and attended the Ava Full Gospel Church. Ovie enjoyed building, square dancing,raising animals and being with his family.
Ovie was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary.
Ovie is survived by his wife, Betty Jean "Jeanie" Nail, Mansfield, MO, four children, Howard Nail, Venus, TX, Janie Nail, Plano, TX, Nancy Curtis, Salina, KS, and Edward Nail, Blue Springs, MO, three step children, Steven Hamilton, Julie Erickson and Robert Hamilton all of Harrisonville, MO, 17 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two sisters, Lila Symmonds, Wenatchee, WA and Kathleen Horn, New Egypt, NJ.
Memorial services for Ovie will be Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Ava, MO. Officiating will be Rev. "Butch" McCleary.
