Patricia Ann Brazeal, 73 years, passed away on August 26, 2011 at St.John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, MO.


Pat was born March 1, 1938 in Junction City, KS to Eleanor "Gussy" and Walter Smith.



Pat was a Homemaker and resident of the Ava & Squires community for many years. In 1955 Pat and William Grandville Brazeal were united in marriage and to this union five children were born. She was a Christian.



Pat had served as President of the Board of Directors for the Ava Senior Center and joyfully volunteered there for years. She enjoyed reading, making crafts and playing Bingo and cards at the center. Pat was lovingly devoted to her children and grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Grandville in 1993 and three sisters, Betty, Peggy, and Donna, and three brothers, Carl , Paul, and infant Leroy.


Pat is survived by four sons & their spouses, Larry & Jean Brazeal, Springfield, MO, Rodney & Vicki Brazeal, Bodfish, CA, Ralph & Dana Brazeal, Wasola, MO, and Westley & Lisa Brazeal, Ava, MO, one daughter & husband, Caroline & Dale Souders, Trenton, MO, three sisters, Leah Smith of Concordia, KS, Laura Smith, Batavia, IL, Nona Lindsay, Lenexa, KS, many grandchildren, many great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Although we did not see each other often, we always knew we were loved by each other and are very saddened by her passing.



Funeral services for Pat will be Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Dennis-Brazeal Cemetery, Mansfield, MO. Visitation will be Monday, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Ray Brazeal. Memorials may be made to the Ava Senior Center.
