Patricia Louise Miller, 78 years, passed to heaven on September 17, 2011 at her home in Ava, MO.



Pat was born May 26, 1933 in Mtn. Home, AR to Vester G. "Chunk" and Annie (Dyer) Wood.



Pat was a resident of Douglas County most of her life. She was a fulltime mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a Christian and had attended the Oak Grove General Baptist Church in Wasola and later attended the Ava General Baptist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, both Gainesville and Ava chapters.



Pat loved fishing, reading, bowling, playing cards and working with the meals on wheels program with the Ava Senior Center.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Maudie Lawson, and a Great Grandaughter, Caelyn Osbourn.

Pat is survived by three sons,Bob & Jeanie Miller, Bella Vista, AR, David & Sally Miller, Ava, MO,and Jon Miller, Ava, MO, seven grandchildren, Bobbie Jean, Justin, Elisha, Chelsea, Lynsey, Paige and Jessi, seven great grandchildren,eight brothers and sisters, Dorothy Jean Bertram, Grandview, MO, Jody Wooldridge, Branson, MO, Joyce Boone, Pennsylvania, Mike Wood, Nottinghill, MO, Rick Wood, Nixa, MO, Randy Wood, Nora Latham, and Judy Wood all of Springfield, MO, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.



Memorial services for Pat will be Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava. Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Memorials may be made to the Douglas County Public Library, Ava, MO.
