Patsy Jo Dickens, 77 years, passed to heaven on November 10, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital, Springfield, MO surrounded by her family.
Patsy was born January 23, 1935 in Ava, MO to Horace and Hazel (McDaniel) Hall.
Patsy was a resident of the Ava community for many years.
On January 21, 1955 Patsy and David Dickens were united in marriage in Ava, MO and to this union three children were born.
Patsy was a Christian and a member of the Ava Assembly of God Church. Upon being engaged she worked for R.C. Claxton Supply Co. in Springfield, MO. She was a Beautician and a Loving Military Wife and Mother. She enjoyed playing Bingo, playing cards, traveling, going to church and most of all being with all her family, grandchildren and friends.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Vernita Breecher, two brothers, Jackie Hall and Voyne Merritt and a niece, Barbara Barnes.
Patsy is survived by her husband, David Dickens, Ava, MO,three children & their spouses, Douglas & Debbie Dickens, Fountain Inn, South Carolina, Diana & Larry Elam, Moncks Corner, South Carolina and Debbie & Ken Wise, Wichita, KS, six grandchildren, Brian, John, Tom, Craig, April and Robby, six great grandchildren, Abbie, Drew, Taylor, Kaleb, Kamden and Kane Wise, four brothers, Verlin, Dale, Karl and Boyd Hall, two sisters, Juanita Shebiel and Lora Kay Davis, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services for Patsy will be Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in the Ava Assembly of God Church Ava, MO with burial in the Dyer Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Officiating will be Pastor Buddy Boyd and music by Bobby Page. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or Gideon's International. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
