Patsy L. Shafer, 63 years, passed to heaven on January 29, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO
Patsy was born June 13, 1949 in Mountain Grove, Mo to Francis and Margaret (Yocum) Scott. Patsy and Clifford Shafer were united in marriage on September 9, 1967 in Louisville, Nebraska.
Patsy was a resident of Ava for six years. Patsy and Clifford moved here from Ashland, Nebraska.
Patsy was a Christian and a member of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed being around family and friends. Patsy also enjoyed her animals. Another one of her great joys was caring and shopping for kids. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Pauline Elizabeth Scott and Frances Margo (Scott) Keen.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Clifford Shafer, Ava, MO, one sister, Mary Ann and husband Bill Boyer, Kansas City, MO, two brothers, William Eddie Scott and Bobbie Scott, both of Ava, MO and many neices and nephews.
Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. The family has requested no flowers.
