Pearl Cook, 93 years, 4 months, and 18 days old, passed to heaven on January 30, 2011 at Ozark Medical Center in West Plains.
Pearl was born September 12, 1917 in Douglas County, MO to Walter and Pree (Dobbs) Heath.
Pearl was employed as a doctor's assistant in Norwood for several years and later worked as a seamstress. Pearl married Emery Cook in 1953. She was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Ava. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and loved working in her garden.
Pearl was preceded by her parents, her husband, Emery, her daughter, Evelyn Croney, eleven brothers and sisters.
Pearl is survived by three grandchildren, Rick Croney & Angela, Mtn. Grove, MO, Tammy Sanders & Wayne, West Plains, MO and Angela Lane, Clarksville, TN, seven great grandchildren, Robbie Lane, Tracy Fitzgerald, Ronnie Croney, Duane Croney, William Croney, Clayton Presson and Elizabeth Croney, 10 great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Pearl will be Monday, February 7, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, from 1:00 till 2:00 P.M in the funeral home. Officiating will Rev. Lee Hampton and Rev. Marvin Loftin. Memorials may be made to New Hope Cemetery.
