Anna Maude "Perky" Poe, 78
Funeral services will be held for Anna Maude "Perky" Poe on December 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville.
Anna Maude "Perky" Poe aged 78 died peacefully on December 9, 2016 at the Gainesville Health Care Center, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Perky was born on November 1st, 1938 in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Dennis and Ida Lee.
Perky graduated from Flippin High School in 1958. She was a talented athlete, who excelled in basketball, softball and cheerleading. In 1960 she married the love of her life, Jimmy W. Poe and shortly after moved to Kansas City Missouri.
Perky moved to Independence Mo. in 1967, where she was a homemaker and raised two daughters. Her family was the light of her life, and she devoted every moment to them.
Perky was a devout Christian. She and her husband, Jimmy attended the First Christian Church in Gainesville.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jimmy W. Poe, two daughters: Tawna Poe and Deanna Haupert of Nashville, Tennessee; Two granddaughters, Ryle Haupert and Kelsey Haupert; two sisters, Virginia Parnell of Columbus Georgia and Patsy Massey of Marshall, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews and close friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two siblings: Lloyd Lee and Delberta Flippin; and an infant son Jarrett William Poe.
Burial will be in the Pontiac Cemetery. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Pontiac Cemetery. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
