Philip Ivan Davis

Philip Ivan Davis, 95 years, 10 months, and 1 day old, passed away on December 15, 2010 at St.John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, MO.
Ivan was born February 14, 1915 in Seattle, WA to Philip and Effie (Davis) Davis. He graduated from Ava High School.
Ivan worked 20 years as a Landscaper with the Missouri Department of Transportation. He also was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in WWII.
On October 25, 1941 Ivan and Allie Fay Price were united in marriage in Hartville, MO and to this union three children were born.
Ivan was a member of the Springfield Unitarian Church.
His interests included: reading, current events, politics and baseball.
Ivan was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Allie, an infant daughter, Peggy Ann and a brother, Ira.
Ivan is survived by two children, Carole Worley, Strafford, MO and Boyd Davis & wife, Sandra, Ava, MO, three grandchildren, Rusty Worley, Roger Worley and Whitney Lawson, eight great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Ivan will be Saturday, December 18, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Ava Cemetery. Officiating will be Rt. Rev. Glen Dale Hartley. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Douglas County Public Library.
