Ralph Mason Hutchinson

Ava, Missouri

Ralph Mason Hutchinson, 60 years, 8 months, 1 day old, passed away on May 30, 2025 at his home.

Ralph was born September 29, 1964 in Springfield, MO  to Larry Ray and  Wanda Lavon (Shortt) Hutchinson.

He grew up in Douglas County and attended the Ava schools.

On June 13, 1987 Ralph and Melissa Adams were united in marriage at Ava, MO and were blessed with three children, Nathan, Deanna, and Ethan.

He was a farmer through and through. He also was a member of the Labor Union 676 working in Construction.

He was a Christian and a member of  the Eastern Gate Missionary Baptist Church.  Ralph loved being in the outdoors and enjoyed hunting. He also loved visiting with his elders about local history. His joy was being with his family, friends, and especially his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ethan Wayne Ray Hutchinson; his brother, Randel Hutchinson; and his grandparents, Everett and Artie Shortt.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Melissa; his parents, Larry and Wanda Hutchinson; three children, Tina Loper Stall and husband, Ryan, Nathan Hutchinson and wife, Erica, and Deanna Hutchinson; grandchildren, Lane, Wyatt, Jase, Kason, and Preston; siblings, Tammy Hutchinson, and Carl Hutchinson;  other extended family and many friends.

Funeral services for Ralph will be Monday, June 2, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Harvill Cemetery, Oldfield, MO. Visitation will be prior to the service at 1:00 P.M.  Officiating will be Rev. James Orick and Pastor Jon Mitchell. Memorials may be made to the Harvill Cemetery.
