Ray Boyd Hicks, 71 years, 10 months, 22 days old, passed away on July 25, 2020 in Ava, Missouri.

Ray was born September 3, 1948 to George Hicks and Lucille Marie (Galliher) Ryan in Blackwater, Missouri.

Ray was a Christian and attended the Ava Assembly of God.  He enjoyed taking the grandkids fishing.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, one son,  Daniel Joseph Hicks, one sister, Cleo, and one brother, Jimmy.

Ray is survived by his daughter, Samantha Sweeden, two grandsons, Devin Hicks and Jeffry Sweeden, one sister, Velma Steinman, ex-wife, Lynnette Hicks,  many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Ray will be held at a later date in Holt Summit, Missouri.  Cremations services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri.
