Ray William Cook,   82 years, 2 months, 12 days old, passed on to Heaven to be with his Lord on June 25, 2020 at his home with family by his side.

Ray was born April 13, 1938 in Ozark County, Missouri to Dewey and Audra (Kastning) Cook.

Ray was a retired public School Teacher and Farmer. He taught in rural schools in Ozark County and later in St. Clair, MO before moving to Ava. Ray retired from Ava Public Schools in 1988 and had taught a total of 31 years. He had received his Masters in Education at Drury University.

Ray was a Christian and a member of Souder Church of Christ. He enjoyed farming, cooking, gardening, squirrel hunting and being with his family.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Cathy Plaster and infant brother, James.

Ray is survived by his four sisters and their spouses, Faye & E.J. Hampton, Carol & Larry Pendergrass, Geneva Davenport, and Judy & Ron   Hladun, multiple nieces and nephews and many friends.

Cremation services for Ray are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home per Ray's wishes. There will be no services planned at this time. Memorials may be made to Souder Cemetery, 296 CR 134, Wasola, MO 65773.
