Raymond Haden
Ava, Missouri
Raymond Joy Haden, 89 years, 8 months, 2 days old, passed away on May 21, 2026, at Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs, Missouri with family by his side.
On September 19, 1936, Raymond was born in Smallett, Missouri, to Blake and Permelia “Melia” (Phipps) Haden.
He was a veteran and served in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1957.
Raymond and Naida (Goodnight) were united in marriage on May 16, 1958, in Smallett, MO by Reverend Tom Johnson. Together they were blessed with three children, Sherri, Curtis, and Steven.
He worked at Lilly Cup in Springfield, Missouri, and Rawlings in Ava, Missouri. He was also a driver for the OATS bus in Douglas County for several years. Raymond was a minister and pastored Happy Home Free Will Baptist church for eleven years. He had served as a Pastor in the community for over 45 years.
Raymond loved to sing and write songs. He collected pens, model cars, knives, and other collectibles. He also loved fishing and garage sales. Raymond’s legacy of love for the Lord will live on in his family and friends.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Sherri Ann Johnston; his siblings, Ethel, Elaine, Blanche, Adrian, and Claude.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Naida; children, Curtis and Debbie Haden and Steven and Michelle Haden; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; numerous nieces; nephews; extended family and many friends.
Funeral services for Raymond will be Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Chapel, Ava, Missouri. A Visitation will be prior to the service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Fannon cemetery with full military honors by Troy Herd American Legion Post 112 and U.S. Navy. Officiating will be Pastor “Bub” Coonts and Pastor Lyle Wright. Memorials may be made to the Fannon Cemetery or Gideon’s International.
