Raymond Leroy Johnson, 81 years, 2 months, 15 days old, passed away on November 29, 2016 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare with his sons by his side.
Raymond was born September 14, 1935 in Ava, MO to Jesse Carl and Euna (Bloomer) Johnson.
Raymond was a Veteran and served with the U.S. Army.
He was a retired Produce Manager with Safeway Grocery Store in Texas. Later he worked for and retired from Mayhard Eggs located in Prosper, Texas.
Raymond was a Christian and was raised in the Baptist faith. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, dancing, and sprint car races.
He always looked forward to coming to Missouri to spend time with family as often as possible. His greatest love was his family.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Kenneth Johnson, one sister, Dorothy Siler, and brother-in-law Bob Siler.
Raymond is survived by two sons and their spouses, Roger & Beverly Johnson and Bill & Debbie Johnson, all of Ava, five grandchildren, Dustin, Landon, Heather, Casey, and Miranda, 13 great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, six siblings, Danny Johnson, Gary Johnson, Jim Johnson, Darlene Davis, Joyce Harper and Luetta Mitchell, many nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Raymond will be Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO. Visitation will be Friday, 9:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jenkins Cemetery. Officiating will be niece, Rev. Sue Clayton. Memorials may be made to Jenkins Cemetery.
