Funeral Services for Raymond "Ray" Bruce Smith, age 53, of Albuquerque, New Mexico will be held at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville, MO on November 30, 2016. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm and services will begin at 1:00 pm.

Ray passed on November 25th, 2016 at the home of his mother in Price Place, AR surrounded by his family. He was born September 28th, 1963 in St. Louis, MO to Bobby Gene and Trinita Smith.
He graduated high school from Richland High School in 1982. He joined the United Stated Air Force in 1983. He was stationed 10 years at Little Rock Air Force Base in Little Rock, AR where he served in the 314th Security Police Squadron. He served our country in Korea and Dessert Storm. He was stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico until his retirement in 2003. During his time at Kirtland he was assigned to the JAG Division with the US Air Force. After retirement, he began working at Central New Mexico Community College where he was the Director of Materials Management until his passing.
He was a loving son, brother, father, and Pa Pa as well as a "Die Hard" Cowboys fan. He loved spending time with his dogs, Coco and Bandit.

He's survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Megan Smith, daughter and son-in-law, Hannah and Nathan Persell, two step-sons, Josh and Tylor Barnette, and four grand-children, Gracie Smith, Riley and Jace Persell, and Brooke Barnette. He is also survived by his mother, Trinita Smith, as well as siblings Gregg and Jackie Smith, Mike and Tirza Smith, and Samantha and Patrick Roesch.
He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents as well as his father Bobby Gene Smith.

Burial will be in Price Place, AR. Memorial contributions may be made to Price Place Cemetery, Hospice of the Ozarks and Angel Flight Central located out of Kansas City, MO. Arrangements are by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
