Raymond Swadley, 82 years, 6 months, and 14 days old, passed to Heaven on January 7, 2017 at his home with his family by his side.
Raymond was born June 14, 1934 in Crossroads, Missouri to Marcus and Della (Moore) Swadley. On February 19, 1959, Raymond and Mary Smith were united in marriage in Bradleyville, Mo and to this union four children were born.
He was a Christian and a member Bradleyville Church of the Nazarene.
Raymond enjoyed raising cows, metal detecting, fishing and hunting. He really loved spending time with family and playing with the grandkids and great-grandkids.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Sue in 2015, one infant son, Jimmy Ray Swadley, one son-in-law, Kerry Menter, one brother-in-law, Garland Smith, two brothers, Johnny Swadley and Orren Swadley and one sister, Hazel McKnight.
Raymond is survived by two sons, Steven and Heidi, Allen and Tammi, one daughter, Sandra Menter, fifteen grandkids, fifteen great-grandkids, two sisters-in-laws, Lavern Swadley and Teddie Coulter, one brother-in-law, Bert Smith, one sister-in-law, Beverly Smith and a host of other relatives and friends.
Cremation services are being provided by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Memorials may be made to the family as a love offering.
