Raymond H. Tidwell, 82 years, 1 month, and 9 days old, passed away on October 10, 2011 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO.



Raymond was born September 1, 1929 in Poplar Bluff, MO to Claude and Ebble (Daughhettee) Tidwell.



Raymond was a resident of Wasola, MO for several years. On September 9, 1996 Raymond and Hester (McDaniel)Hesterlee were united in marriage in Gainesville, MO.



Raymond was a retired welder and was also a truck driver.
He was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. Raymond enjoyed farming and playing his guitar and singing.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Danny Tidwell, a sister, Lorene and a brother, Cecil Tidwell.


Raymond is survived by his wife, Hester Tidwell, Wasola, MO, eight children, Shirley Long, Truman, AR, Kenneth Tidwell, Plant City, FL, Steve Tidwell, Judsonia, AR, Jim Tidwell, Memphis, TN, Brenda Winters, Jacksonville, AR, Cheri Tidwell, State of CA, Larry Tidwell, State of OR, Jeri (Tidwell) Agee, State of UT, three step children, Janice Snelling, Gainesville, MO, Joyce Kaufman, Sparta,MO and Dexter Hesterlee, Nottinghill, MO, numerous grandchildren, many great grandchildren, one sister, Betty Cates, Tucson, AZ, and a host of other relatives and friends.



Funeral services for Raymond will be Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. October 12, 2011, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Wasola, MO. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Charles McFarland. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Cemetery.
