REESE CUTBIRTH
Reese Cutbirth of Protem, MO was born the son of Elbert and Daisy (Cole) Cutbirth on August 12, 1929 in Protem, MO and passed away at the Forsyth Nursing Home, after a long illness, at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 14 days.
He was married to Dorothy Brightwell in 1951 during the Korean War. To this union two sons and one daughter were born: Mike, Joe and daughter Alisa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; one brother and son Joe. He is survived by one son, Mike of Protem and one daughter, Alisa of Branson; and three grandchildren. Other survivors include siblings Dale Cutbirth and Imagene Hughes of Theodosia.
He served in the Army during the Korean War, receiving a Purple Heart.
Reese was well-known and a friend of many in the Protem-Ocie area where he had farmed, driven a school bus, and a work bus to Mtn. Home, AR and later worked in the oil fields for a short time before being injured in an accident.
Reese leaves behind many friends and relatives.
