Rena Gail Childers, 53 years, passed to heaven on September 8, 2009 at Mtn. Grove, MO.
Rena was born March 28, 1956 in Wilmington, DE to John and Mazie (Jamison) Vavala.
Rena and Rick were united in marriage on April 20, 1985 in Camp Verde, AZ.
Rena was a Christian and of the Catholic Faith. Rena loved animals. Rena and Rick loved life and got the opportunity to travel and really live life. She was a very giving person and never turned anyone away. She gave her life for her family and friends.
Rena was preceded in death by her father, John J. Vavala.
Rena is survived by her husband, Rick Childers, Norwood, MO, two children, Tabitha Edwards, CA and Josh Sutton, Grants Pass, OR, five grandchildren, her parents, Mazie & Raymond R. Wooters, Newark, DE, her in-laws, Cherie & Bill Childers, Mtn. Grove, MO, one sister, Susan Wooters, Newark, DE, two brothers, Phillip Vavala, Newark, DE and Raymond Wooters, Dover, DE.
Cremation is being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
