Retha Fleetwood, 91 years, passed away on January 29, 2010 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO.
Retha was born January 18, 1919 in Bertha, MO to C. N. and Sara "Sally" (Hicks) Hicks. She was a lifelong resident of Douglas County.
Retha enjoyed fishing, cooking and making quilts. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Retha was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Tommy, five brothers and one sister.
Retha is survived by four sons, Paul Fleetwood, Marvin Fleetwood, David "Bob" Fleetwood and John Fleetwood all of Ava, MO and one daughter, Gerelene McFarlin, Jacksonville, FL, 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, one sister, Marie Holman, Butler, MO, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Retha will be Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with Rev. Robert Grisham officiating. Interment will follow in the Henderson Cemetery near Gentryville. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
