Rex Kenneth Hartin, 80 years, 7 months, and 21 days old, passed to Heaven on October 29, 2015 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO.
Rex was born March 8, 1935 in Goodhope, MO to Sidney and Ada (Davis) Hartin.
Rex was a resident of the Goodhope community in Douglas County. He was a retired Truck Driver for Butternut Bread out of Springfield, MO. He had worked for them for many years.
He had also served in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Sergeant from 1956 to 1963.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents.
Rex is survived by three children and their spouses, Terry & Marcia Hartin, Ozark, MO, Shauna & Allen Kester, Dardenne Prairie, MO and Crystal Hartin & fiance, Charlie Mansfield, Rogers, AR, four grandchildren; Joe Hartin, Springfield, MO, Sarah, Allison and Kaycie Kester, Dardenne Prairie, MO, one sister, Gloria McCullough, Ava, MO and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Rex will be Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Harris Cemetery just west on Hwy. 76 in Ava. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Marvin Loftin. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Rex's name.
