Richard Edward "Rick" Marler

Richard Edward Marler, 30 years, passed to heaven on February 6, 2012 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO.

Rick was born October 21, 1981 in Springfield, MO to Steven and Leta (Riggs) Marler.

Rick had been a resident of the Ava area. He had recently been living with his grandmother, Viola Marler in Fordland. Rick was a repairman and also landscaper for various construction companies.

Rick was a Christian and had attended church with his grandmother. He enjoyed listening to music, tatoo's, restoring bikes and playing video games. Rick adored his nephews and spending time with them.

Rick was preceded in death by his grandfather's, Glen Edward Marler and Herman Richard Riggs and an uncle, Darrell Riggs.


Rick is survived by his grandmother, Viola Marler, Fordland, MO,
his parents, Leta Marler and Steve Ray Marler, Sr., both of Springfield, MO, two brothers, Steven Marler & wife, Shannon and Josh Marler all of Springfield, MO, two nephews, Clayton and Brendan Marler and numerous friends and family.


Funeral services for Rick will be Saturday, February 11, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Easter Cemetery near Fordland, MO. Visitation will be Friday, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Dale Roller. Memorials may be made to the family as a Love offering in care of the funeral home.
