Richard Lyle Wolfe, 79, of Ava passed away at his residence on December 5, 2021.  He was born on December 9, 1941 in Evansville, Wisconsin to Arthur S. Wolfe and Beulah "Moore" Wendell.

Richard enjoyed hunting and teaching his sons to hunt. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He never met a stranger and was always willing to talk with anyone that would listen.

Richard is survived by his wife Mary "Cox" Wolfe; his sons Mark (Sharon) Wolfe of Ava; Rex (Jacquelin) Wolfe of Oneonta NY; Gerald "Jerry" Wolfe of Ava; Daniel Wolfe of Nashville TN; sister Virginia Moley of Beloxi MS; stephchildern Deryl Gentry; Ricky Gentry; Connie Hawkins; Donna Gentry; Cheryl Baker and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Arthur "Duane" Wolfe; Howard Wolfe; Curtis Wolfe; Harland Wolfe; Larry Wolfe; and sister Donna Pernot.

No services are planned at this time.  A private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate his life.
