RICHARD "DICK" WORSTALL
Dick Worstall, 77, Gainesville, MO, went home to be with Jesus on October 19, 2009 in Mountain Home, AR. He was born on January 25, 1932 in Bureau, IL the son of Walter and Flossie (Bales) Worstall.
On September 3, 1966 Dick was united in marriage to Sallie Davis in East Peoria, IL. He worked for the railroads for 31 ½ years; most of that time he was employed as an Engineer for Rock Island Railroad. After his retirement in the early 1980's, he and Sallie moved to the Ozarks. Dick loved the outdoors. Although he didn't hunt, he enjoyed painting and loved to watch and feed the wildlife. His greatest joy however was the time he spent with his family, especially the grandkids. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all.
Dick is survived by his wife Sallie Worstall of the home in Gainesville, MO; two sons Ronald Worstall and his wife Linda of Smyrna, TN, and Guy Worstall of Virginia; two daughters Elizabeth "Toodie" Mathisen of Peoria, IL, and Ronda Foster of Gainesville, MO; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one sister Joyce Dillman of Princeton, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three children James Worstall, Susan Worstall, and Randy Ward; three grandchildren; one brother; and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 23, 2009 in the Mammoth Assembly of God Church with Gale Wooten and Junior Nelson officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 pm to service time at the church building. Interment will be in the Mammoth Cemetery.
