Riley Nicole O'Laughlin, 27, of Kansas City, MO left her earthly body on the morning of May 5, 2023 to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. She was born on July 18, 1995 to Patrick and Christine (Chilcutt) O'Laughlin in Springfield, MO along with her twin sister Shannon O'Laughlin.

Riley graduated from Nixa High School before earning her degree as a graphic designer from Ozark Technical School. Riley moved to Kansas City, MO to pursue her graphic arts degree. She was employed at a non-profit organization where she loved her work and all the people she worked with.

While there, she came to know Jesus Christ and was baptized at Northland Church in Kansas City (where she was planning a missionary trip to Ecuador). Riley met people wherever she would go and they became her second family.

Riley would light up the room with her sweetness and positivity in any situation. Today we all have lost a great shining light and an inspiration for living life to the fullest.

Riley was preceded in death by her mother Christine O'Laughlin. She is survived by her twin sister Shannon O'Laughlin; brother Matthew Bishop; her father Patrick O'Laughlin of Nixa, MO; grandparents Doug and Elaine O'Laughlin; grandmother Elizabeth Chilcutt; aunt Stacia Wyatt and husband Randy; cousins J.J. Schilling, Melissa Albers, Courtney Lindsey.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, 434 Main St, Gainesville, MO 65655. Visitation will be Saturday from Noon to service time. Burial will be in the Lilly Ridge Cemetery in Gainesville. Memorial contributions may be made to Lilly Ridge Cemetery and mailed to the funeral home, PO Box 65; Gainesville, MO 65655.
