Robert "Bob" Mason

Robert Allen Mason, 58 years, passed away on April 1, 2015 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO with all his family by his side.

Bob was born June 30, 1956 in Casper, WY to Leroy "Roy"Allen and Marjorie Lorraine (Foreman) Mason. He graduated from Red Wing Central High School, MN in 1975.

On July 22, 1995 Bob and Margaret Harris were united in marriage in Mansfield, MO. Bob and Margaret were over the road team truck drivers for 14 years. He was a U.S. Marine veteran and served our country in Operation Desert Storm. He also served in the Army National Guard and the Reserves.

Bob enjoyed Nascar, going to the track with Jack and most of all his joy and love was being with his family!! He was a Christian and had been attending church with Margaret.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Roy Mason and his father-in-law, Papa Tom Harris.


He is survived by his wife, Margaret Mason, Strafford, MO, seven children and their spouses, Jeremy & Jennifer Mason, Mansfield, MO, Amanda & Marvin Johnson, Mansfield, MO, Kellie & Dave Ingle, Clever, MO, Travis & Sarah Mason, Grove, OK, Christopher Berry, Union, MO, Cory Berry, Strafford, MO and Kayla Berry, Strafford, MO, 19 grandchildren, his mother, Marjorie Mason, Red Wing, MN, a brother, Skeeter Mason, Mora, MN, a sister Joyce Halpaus, Red Wing, MN, mother-in-law, Rosie Harris, Ava, MO and many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.


Memorial services for Bob will be Friday, April 10, 2015, 11:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial of cremains in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery with full military honors by Troy Herd American Legion Post 112 and U.S. Marines. He will be escorted by the Patriot Guard Riders. Officiating will be Pastor Larry Scott and Pastor Shane Hughes. Memorials may be made to the family as a love offering.
