Robert Thomas Atherton

Robert Thomas Atherton, 81 years, 8 months, and 23 days old, passed away on January 8, 2025 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava, Missouri.

Robert was born April 16,1943 in Marion Ohio to Arthur E. Brown and Roberta (Doty) Atherton.

He was a Navy Veteran and a registered nurse who served many people with his time and energy through the years.

Robert and DeEtta were united in marriage over 35 years ago.

He enjoyed reading his Bible, whistling, and checkers.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; Step-father, Robert Atherton; two brothers, Leland Brown and Harry Atherton.

Robert is survived by his children, Penny Gallant and her husband, Bryan; Robert Atherton, Jonathan Atherton, and Wendy Pollock and her husband Larry; siblings Kathleen Ridenour in Ohio, Douglas Brown in Virginia, and George Brown in Ohio.

Burial of cremains will be in the Murray Cemetery next to DeEtta at a later date.  Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri.
