ROBERT L. "BOB" ELLISON

Robert L. "Bob" Ellison, 78, of Theodosia, MO passed away on February 20, 2011 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center. He was born on July 10, 1932 in Ozark County, MO, the son of Elzie and Dennis (Hayes) Ellison.

Bob was a graduate of Gainesville High School, class of 1951. He attended Drury College in Springfield before entering the military. He served as a Sergeant during the Korean Conflict.

On April 22, 1955, he was united in marriage to Mary Pauline Elliott. He and Pauline both worked for Boeing in Wichita, KS for a while before returning back home to farm and raise their family. Bob was an honest man who was very hard working and always provided for his family. He had a strong faith in God. He loved his family, farming and raising cattle; and had a passion for John Deere Tractors. He ruled with stern hands and a loving heart. Bob was a Christian. He was loved and will be missed by all his family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Elzie and Dennis Ellison; one brother Joe Ellison; and one sister Christine Ellison. He is survived by his wife Pauline; one son Sam Ellison of Theodosia, MO; one daughter Angela Ellison and her husband Craig Trotter of Theodosia, MO; four grandchildren Cole Suter of Gainesville, MO, Shane Suter and wife April of Ava, MO, Ashley Ellison and Shelby Ellison both of St. Louis, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Dale Roberts and Brad Pellham officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 11 a.m. to service time. Burial will be in the Pontiac Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Pontiac Cemetery and can be left at the funeral home.
