Robert Edwin "Bob" Moore

Ava, MO

Robert Edwin Moore, 82 years, 10 months, and 4 days old, passed to heaven on March 3, 2011 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare.

Bob was born April 29, 1928 in Mansfield, MO to Oscar and Ruth (Davis) Moore.

On Oct. 5, 1951, Bob and Daisy Goss were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, AR and to this union three sons were born.

He was a veteran and had served with the U.S. Army. Bob worked for Acme Sign Co. in Kansas City, MO for 20 years. He also owned and operated with his wife, Daisy, three businesses, Hillbilly Hideout, Montgomery Wards and Ice Cream Parlor in Ava.

He was a member of the Ava United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping and the outdoors. Bob enjoyed participating in the Ava Farmers Market.

Bob was preceded by his parents, two brothers, Lloyd & Clifford Moore, two half brothers, Harold & Roy Moore.


Bob is survived by his wife, Daisy Moore, Ava, MO, three sons, Michael Edwin Moore, Ava, MO, David Robert Moore & wife, Mary Ann, Gainesville, MO and Gary Allen Moore & wife, Allison, Columbia, MO,four grandchildren, Elizabeth Marie Miller, David Robert Moore II, Sarah Elizabeth Moore and Hannah Marie Moore, two great grandchildren, Eve Marie Miller and Izyiahs David Moore, one brother, Delbert Moore, Springfield, MO, two sisters, Ruby Buchanan and Virginia Linder both of Ava, MO, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Bob will be Saturday, March 5, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Ava, MO with burial in the Denney Cemetery with military honors by American Legion #112 and VFW #5993. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Buddy Boyd and Rev. Marty Blakey. Memorials may be made to Neighbor Helping Neighbor.
