Robert Eugene "Moe" Marlin

Ava, MO

Robert Eugene Marlin, 66 years, passed to heaven on January 13, 2010 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

"Moe" was born January 21, 1943 in Mansfield, MO to Otha Elmo Marlin and Myrtle (Prock) Marlin.

Moe was raised in Mansfield, MO. "Moe" and Lena Miller were united in marriage in 1978 and to this union one son, Toby was born and later moved to Ava for 28 years. He had recently lived in Hartville for a couple years. "Moe" retired from Prestress Casting Inc. in Ozark, MO and had also worked for Ken Ballew Hatcheries in Mansfield, MO. He loved to fish and he also enjoyed hunting. "Moe" recently accepted Christ as his personal Savior. "Moe" loved visiting with people and he never met a stranger. He loved cooking for his family and friends.
He will be greatly missed.

"Moe" was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Hugh Dean McNealy.


"Moe" is survived by one son,Toby Marlin, Ava, MO, two step daughters and their spouses, Kay & Larry Pierce and "Winky" & Dewayne Stephens, one step-son & wife, Steve & Denise Maggard all of Ava, MO, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one sister, Doris McNealy, Hartville, MO, two brothers, Kenny Marlin, Corcoran, CA and Donald Marlin, Stillwater, OK, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for "Moe" will be Saturday, January 16, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Seymour Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 15, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Stan Collins. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
