Robert Dean Modar

Robert Dean Modar, 72 years, 9 months, and 11 days old, passed away on March 16, 2014 at his home with his wife, Shirley, by his side.

Robert was born June 5, 1941 in Dixon, CA to Theodore and Verna (Gustafson) Modar.

Robert and Shirley Neel were united in marriage on August 15, 1961 in Carson City, NV

Robert was a devoted loving husband, father, and grandfather. He also was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers, and one niece.

Robert is survived by his wife, Shirley, four children and their spouses, Andrew and Jane Modar, Oakley, CA, Randell Modar, Seymour, MO, Kristy and Todd Breedlove, Shawnee, OK, and Robert and Chris Modar, Seymour, MO, eighteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Robert will be Saturday, March, 22, 2014, 2:00 P.M. at the Pleasant Ridge Southern Baptist Church in Dogwood, Missouri with Pastor Carl Ray officiating. Interment at the Dogwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, March 22, 2014, 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
