Robert "Bob" Nelson Adams

Robert Nelson Adams, 72 years, passed away on May 19, 2013 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO with his wife by his side.

Robert was born November 25, 1940 in Douglas County, MO to Charley and Jirda Willene (Hall) Adams. He graduated from Ava High School.

Robert was a resident of the Ava community for several years. He was a retired Mechanic, owned and operated several service stations in Springfield, MO, he also worked as a truck driver and set mobile homes.

On May 18, 2010 Robert and Angeline Harris were united in marriage in Ava, MO.

Bob enjoyed the thrill of racing cars, motorcycles, and dune buggies. He also enjoyed boating and built dune buggies for sport and sale. He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. He was also a Shriner.


Robert was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Wilma Fossett, one half brother, Charles Adams and one son, Randy Adams.


Robert is survived by his wife, Angeline Harris Adams, Ava, MO, two sons, Benjamin Adams, Walnut Grove, MO, Richard Adams, Corcoran, CA, one daughter, Jaquetta Adams, Reseda, CA, eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four brothers, Adrian Adams, Porterville, CA, Stanley Adams, Horseshoe Bend, AR, Howard Adams, Springfield, MO, and David Adams, Purcell, MO, one sister, Irene Swearengin, Ava, MO, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Robert will be Wednesday May 22, 2013 at 2P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with cremation to follow. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1P.M. to service time. Officiating will be Dr. Stanley Adams. Memorials may be made to Red Bank Baptist Church.
