Robert 'Bob' Offer, 78
Mr. Offer died Oct. 18, 2010 at the Gainesville Health Care Center. He was born May 5, 1932 in Peru, IL the son of Louis and Esther Offer. Mr. Offer resided in Florida for 34 years before moving to Pontiac, MO 4 years ago. Mr. Offer served in the U.S. Air Force as an airplane mechanic during the Korean Conflict. His favorite plane was the P-51. Mr. Offer was a retired mechanic and enjoyed fishing and hunting and had a passion for guns. He was a member of the Frontier Baptist Church in Pontiac, MO.
Mr. Offer is survived by his former wife Anne O'Donnell of Schaumburg, IL.; 3 daughters Cathy Osborne of Fredonia, WI; Phyllis Offer of Schaumburg, IL; Micky Iseminger of Pontiac, MO; three sons Bob Offer of Englewood, FL; Tom Offer of Chicago, IL; Mark Offer of Virginia Beach, VA.; his sister Alice and brother-in-law Zane Beck of Springfield, IL, his niece Debbie McKillop of Urbana, IL, nephew Randy Beck of Windsor, IL; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the Frontier General Baptist Church, Pontiac, MO with Ron Pinckney officiating. Memorials may be made to the Hospice Compassus of West Plains, MO or the Pontiac Frontier Baptist Church. Cremation services are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
