ROBERTA MAE CLAYTON

Roberta Mae Clayton, 82, of Isabella, MO passed away September 22, 2017 in Shattuck, OK. She was born February 14, 1935 in Dillard, MO daughter of Treffie and Hilma Adams.

She married and had two daughters Kathryn Sue and Charlene Marcella. She later divorced and married the love of her life Robert Voyles Jr. They moved from St Louis to Isabella. She remained in Isabella after Robert's death in 1986. She worked 30 years as a legal secretary until her retirement in 1980. Her hobbies included canning, quilting, embroidering, reading and crocheting. She was a very social, out-going and friendly person.

She is survived by two daughters Kathryn Sue Brown and husband Dennis and Charlene Marcella Elliott; grandson Jason Anthony; brothers Arnold Adams and wife Ella and Gordon Adams; sisters Patty and Mary; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Treffie and Hilma Adams; and one brother Roger.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Jimmy Kyle officiating. Burial will follow in the Isabella Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 1 p.m. to service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
