Ronald Duane Christoffer, 76, Theodosia, MO passed away on April 6, 2010 at his residence. He was born on March 6, 1934 in Spirit Lake, IA, the son of Leonard and Jessie Branch (Reed) Christoffer.

He moved from Spirit Lake to Vancouver, WA with his parents in 1942. He moved to Aberdeen, WA in 1945, graduating from Weatherwax High School, Aberdeen, WA in 1953. He entered the Army in August of 1953, serving in the Pacific for three years. Ron owned his own business in Washington State until retiring to the Ozarks in 1993. He was the faithful and loving care giver to his beloved wife until her death in 2005. He enjoyed working produce at Cash Saver Pantry for several years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Ron is survived by one sister Carol Patton of WA; his children Duane Jeffery Christoffer of Olympia, WA, Wendell and Teresa Still of Elma, WA, Ray and Judy Johnson of Theodosia, MO, and Dyann Randall of Ozark, MO; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Jessie Christoffer; his wife Mazie Christoffer; one sister Beverly Boatman; three brothers Leonard Jr., Wayne, and Larry Lee; and one son Perry Christoffer.

A Memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Protem Community Church, Protem, MO with Tom Hodges officiating. In lieu of flowers, Ron had requested that memorial gifts be made to the Gideon Bibles in his memory. Cremation services are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
