Ronald "Ron" Pinckney

Ronald Dean Pinckney, 66 years, 1 month, and 7 days old, passed to Heaven on August 20, 2015 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO with his family by his side.
Ron was born July 13, 1949 in Ava, MO to Richard Lee and Doris Louvey (Roberts) Pinckney. He graduated from Ava High School in 1968.
Ron was a life long resident of Ozark and Douglas County.
Ron was a Teacher, Mechanic, and Truck Driver. He owned his own auto shop at Wasola for several years. He also taught Auto Mechanic's at Gainesville High School for 22 years. His passion was serving as a Minister for 38 years. Ron currently pastored the Frontier Baptist Church in Pontiac, MO for 23 years.
On June 3, 1972 Ron and Doris Potter were united in marriage at Girdner Church and to this union two children were born, Tanner and Misty.
He enjoyed golfing, making people laugh, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Brenda Pinckney, two brothers, Leroy Davis and Harlin Davis.
Ron is survived by his wife, Doris Pinckney, Ava, MO, two children and their spouses, Tanner & Mindy Pinckney, Ava, MO and Misty & Matt Souder, Wasola, MO, six grandchildren; Alton Souder, Titus Pinckney, Garrett Souder, Cade Pinckney, Breckyn Pinckney and Owen Souder, twin brother, Don Pinckney, Wasola, MO, siblings; Gerald & Linda Davis, Mansfield, MO, Harold Davis, Ava, MO, Kay & Dan Karmichael, Sparta, MO, Karen Farris, Ava, MO and Linda & Roy Presley, Pleasant Hope, MO, many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services for Ron will be Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Girdner Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Randy Dalton, Rev. Don Yarger and Rev. Donald Potter. Memorials may be made to Mission New Life, (for Missionaries, Barry & Christine Lydon), Gideon's or Girdner Cemetery.
