Ronald Jack
Moyers
July 15, 1930 – August 29, 2025
Korean War Veteran, Ronald Jack Moyers, 95, of Gainesville, MO, peacefully joined our Heavenly Father on August 29, 2025. He was born July 15, 1930, in Petersburg, West Virginia to Raymond Moyers and Goldie Estelle Moyers (nee Judy).
On June 13, 1949, Jack enlisted into the Army Aircorps. After basic training he went to Okinawa as a Personnel Specialist. Upon his Honorable discharge in December of 1952, Jack returned to Illinois to reside with his uncle, Dr Roald Moyers, and entered Pre-Med school. While attending school he also worked at The Fuller Brush Company in Aurora, IL. It was there he met the love of his life, Ella Marlene Moyers (nee Hatman). Jack and Marlene married April 1, 1955. They remained married 52 years until Marlene passed in 2007.
Shortly after marrying, Jack began working as a carpenter building houses. In 1963, he joined the Carpenters Union #916 in Aurora, IL. He remained a carpenter until retirement.
Jack was a devout member of the Church of Christ wherever he resided. He faithfully attended Gainesville, MO, and later attended the Mtn Home Church.
Jack is survived by his children, Debra Jane (Brian) Wade of Waterman, IL, Diana Kay (Steven) Moyers-Siebels of Gainesville, MO, Kevin Scott (Lisa) Moyers of Chadwick, MO, Roald Jackson (Sangchun) Moyers of Gainesville, MO and Shanna Marlene Moyers of Warrenville, IL; his grandchildren, Brandon and Corey Wade, Shane, Toby and Joshua Moyers-Cook, Rae, Paul and Michael Siebels, Erica, Scottie and Roald Moyers, Machele and Jackson Moyers; his great grandchildren, Mahlon, Roscoe, Oliver, Jonathan, Errol, Quillen Fox, Shane Jr, Josiah, Kayleigh, Hayley, Lexi, Riley, Eli, Madelyn, Reagan, Evelyn and Owen, Maisie, Ari, Kevin, Diego, Remy, Ethan and Eric; his great-great-grandchildren, Freya and Mayleyna. His youngest sister, Shirley, resides in Ft Ashby, West Virginia.
Jack is preceded in death by his siblings, William, George, Bonnie, David, and Dale.
A Celebration of Life for Jack will be held at the Gainesville Church of Christ at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Burial with Full Military Honors will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado. Local arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
