Rosa Lee Anderson, 86 years, 3 months, 17 days old, passed away on, July 2, 2017 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare in Ava, MO with her family by her side.

Rosa Lee was born March 15, 1931 in Douglas County, MO to Acie J. and India Jane (Heatherly) Merritt.

Rosa Lee was a housewife and also had worked at a candy factory in Illinois.

On October 14, 1950 Rosa Lee and Albert "Bud" Anderson were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, AR.

Rosa Lee was a Christian and a member of Sweden Church for many years and later attended the First General Baptist Church in Ava. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. Earlier years she loved working with Bud on the farm with the cattle.

Rosa Lee was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bud in 2004,
one sister, Mable Merritt and one brother, Homer. Rosa Lee is survived by four siblings, Bill Merritt, Ava, MO, Nancy Walker, Springfield, MO, Carolyn Sue Loftin and husband, Russell, and Acie Jr. "Butch" Merritt and wife, Evelyn, all of Ava, MO, many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Rosa Lee will be Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Sweden Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday July 5th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Marvin Loftin and Pastor Larry Vinson. Memorials may be made to Sweden Cemetery.
