Raymond "Ross" Irby, 92 years and 2 days old, passed away on October 3, 2020 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Mo with his daughters by his side.

Ross was born October 1, 1928 in Silverton, Missouri to George Edward and Mae (Porter) Irby.

Ross served in the United States Army with the 82 ^nd Air Borne during the Korean War.

Ross and Grace were joined together in 1955.

Ross enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Ross was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Grace, three sons, Richard Irby, Gary Hicks, and Raymond Irby, two daughters, Pat Englehardt and Janice Bone, one grandson, Kendall Clouse, two brothers, Jim Irby and Herman Irby, and one sister, Glendora.

Ross is survived by his son, Fred and wife Christina Hicks, daughter Carolyn and her husband Darrell Hutchison, daughter Yvonne and her husband Steve Willis, daughter Debbie and her husband Kenny Clouse, and daughter Brenda and her husband Jim Liniger, 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, a very special friend, Gary Ellison, and a many other relatives and friends.

A Graveside Funeral service for Ross will be Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Girdner Cemetery with burial to follow.  Ross with be lying in state all day Tuesday at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home.  Officiating will be Rev. Oren Alcorn. Full military honors will be conducted at the graveside by Troy Herd American Legion Post 112 and the U.S. Army.  Memorials may be made to the Girdner Cemetery.
