ROWENA ALICE BURNETT
Rowena Alice Burnett, Overland Park, KS, daughter of Bert and Hepsie (Sallee) Burnett, was born August 30, 1931 near Big Creek Township in rural Ozark County, MO and passed away February 27, 2009 in Kansas City, MO at the age of 77 years.
She was employed with Sears and Roebuck for over 35 years as a typist. She was a member of the Central Freewill Baptist Church where she had taught the children's Sunday School Class, served as church clerk and was a member of the ladies auxiliary. Rowena enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Lattice Burnett; brothers Weldon, Vern, Noel, Dolin, Levi, Leo, Buell and Boyd Burnett. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO. Interment will follow in the Lutie Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 PM to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lutie Cemetery c/o Century Bank, PO Box 450, Theodosia, MO 65761.
