Roy Dodson, 60 years, 9 months, 13 days old, passed away on September 6, 2022 at his home on the farm he loved with family by his side.

Roy was born November 24, 1961 in Cabool, MO to Vernon Leroy and Sharon Kaye (Lawson) Sawyers.

On July 25, 1997 Roy married the love of his life, Kim and they were united in marriage at Eureka Springs, AR.

Roy & Kim are owners and operators of  R & K Underground. He thought highly of his employees and considered them family. Roy loved working cattle on his farm, that is known as R & K Farms.   He enjoyed hunting and going to cattle auctions with Kim. Roy adored his grandbabies and loved to be with all his family! He was a Christian and a great man of faith.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Varian Sawyers, and his grandfather, Ernest Lawson.

Roy is survived by his wife, Kim; his parents, Vernon and Sharon Sawyers; his in-laws, Connie & Jim Holobaugh; his children, Brandy & Justin Storie, Jason & Stephanie Hall, Amanda Dugger, Ashley & Chase Dry, Ethan & Chantel Hall, and Stormy & Keith Townsend; grandchildren, McKenzie, Emma, Madilynn, Aspen, Kale, Trystan, Willow, Carter, Coleman, Aubree, Bryer, Annabelle, Huxton, and Hardin; great grandchildren, Aria and Ellie; additional family and  his guys, Jim, Fuzz, Amos, Randy and Gerdes.

Funeral services for Roy will be Friday, September 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service on Friday from 1:30 p.m. to service time. Officiating will be Pastor Gary Stigall. Family requests memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
