Roy Maggard, 77 years, 9 months, and 22 days old, passed away on October 19, 2016 at the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center, Ava, MO with his sister, Florence by his side.
Roy was born December 28, 1938 in Elk Head, MO to Henry and Vida (Briggle) Maggard.
Roy and Eva Hoit were united in marriage. Roy was a Christian.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Norman Maggard, two grandchildren, two sisters, and five brothers.
Roy is survived by his wife, Eva Maggard, three daughters, Joann Friend, Delores Botts, and Linda Williams, one son, Bill Maggard, several grandchildren, a few great-grandchildren, one sister, Florence Evans, Thornfield, MO, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Cremation services are being provided by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in the Thornfield House of Prayer Cemetery in Thornfield, MO. Memorials may be made to the family as a love offering.
